Putting the fun in fundraising

Congratulations on signing up for the 2020 RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run! We can’t wait to see you cross the finish line while you support women with breast cancer. Now let’s get fundraising!

With your help we’re aiming to raise funds to provide practical support services for women with breast cancer right now, as well as invest in potentially life-saving breast cancer research at Mater to benefit the women diagnosed with breast cancer in the future. Thank you for your fundraising efforts; fundraising is fun and getting started is as easy as one-two-three!

Step 1: Make your fundraising page shine!

As part of your registration we created a fundraising page just for you—now you need to personalise it! Log in to your fundraising hub to update your profile picture and add a personal message to let people know why you’ve decided to raise money for women with breast cancer.

Forgotten your password? No worries! You can reset your password easily.

Step 2: Share your fundraising page with friends.

Harness the power of social media by posting the link to your shiny new fundraising page on Facebook. Don’t forget to add a message to let your friends and family know what you’re doing and why you're doing it!

Here’s a post to get you started:

I’ve signed up to the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run! We’re raising funds to support women with breast cancer, providing things like counselling, wigs and mastectomy bras. As little as $58 can make an immediate impact and take some of the stress off women with breast cancer and their families. Will you help me?

You can also download some cool social media posts to share from our fundraising resources.

Note: a message might pop up on Facebook suggesting you setup a fundraising page with them, but it’s best not to do this as your donations won't be tracked on your fun run page.

Step 3: Get your message into people’s inbox.

You should never underestimate the power of a fantastic email, and we can let you in on a secret: the key to writing a powerful email is to be yourself!

We’ve created an email template to get you started and added it to your personal fundraising page. To make it really work for you, make sure you add your own personal touches.

Step 4: Use our fundraising resources

Download our great fundraising resources, including posters, social media posts and calendars.

Don’t forget, we’re here to help, so give us a call on 1800 440 155 and we can help you create a fundraising plan for success!

If you’re ready to make a positive impact and help more women with breast cancer and their families focus on the moments that matter most, log in to your fundraising hub and let’s get started!

All done... What's next?

Great work! Now all that's left to do is fundraise and train up for the fun run!
