Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge

Teamwork. Spirit. Mateship.

Mater Smiling for Smiddy's Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge has been the standard bearer for endurance-based cyclists for 15 years. Conquer deserted outback highways, visit warm country towns and take in stunning mountain ranges as you take the road less travelled. This is just some of what's in store for you on the Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge.

This is an epic adventure, where you’ll join 50 like-minded individuals seeking to make a real impact for cancer research.

Cycling 1600 km from Brisbane to Townsville, you’ll start as strangers but will finish the challenge as life-long friends. Sharing the common drive to make a difference, you’ll be united as one having gone on the adventure of a lifetime and raising vital funds for cancer research at Mater.

It's a life-affirming experience, and we want you to be a part of it.

“The most amazing experiences happen when you’re out on the road. Magic can happen.”

Dave “Stinky” Colahan; Smiddy rider since 2011
