I've pledged to raise at least $750
I’ve signed up to the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run!
No one expects to get Breast Cancer at 27, but that's what happened to me.
No one expects to then be told its the most aggressive treatment option but that's what happened to me.
No one expects to have a genetic mutation that predisposes your future children and family to Breast Cancer but that's what happened to me.
I will be trying to give back to a community who has given me so much support this year! The money raised will help fund tangible support for patients - such as counselling and mastectomy bras. Mater Chicks in Pink also carry out research to help women who will walk in the same shoes as me, this may be your mother, daughter, aunt, grandmother or even a male in your family.
Having the BRCA mutation I am passionate about finding a cure for Breast Cancer it is claiming the lives of too many women and I do not want anyone, least of all my possible children to go through what I have.
Lets take a stand.
