Why I Tri

I've committed to being part of Team Smiddy at the 2021 Noosa Triathlon.

That means in October, I'll be taking on an Olympic distance triathlon. That's a 1500m swim, 40km ride and 10km run! Yes, I'll be pushing my body to the limit.

Why am I taking on this challenge?

To support research into cancer and to set an example for my young son that we can always make a difference no matter how big or small! 

As part of my challenge I'm aiming to raise a minimum of $1250 to fund ground-breaking research at Mater into the causes, prevention and treatment of various types of cancer.

And this is where I need your help.

Burpees & Calories

Sunday 18th Jul
Hi Team

As part of my fundraising efforts I will conduct a burpee or airbike calorie for each dollar raised between today and Wednesday! 

A little bit of extra training never hurt anyone! 

I look forward to sharing the journey with you all 


A small bit of pain for a BIG gain!

Tuesday 13th Jul
This October I have decided to complete the Noosa triathlon (it will be my 3rd Olympic distance to date) 

I have signed up to support the Smiling for Smiddy campaign in aid of The Mater organisation research into cancer. 

I will place myself through a a 2hr + pain window (that you can support through a donation) 

This pain is nothing compared to those who have been affected by cancer.

I will represent all those from Charleville and the South West who have been affected. 

My goal is to complete the race in less than 2hrs and 20mins (current PB!)
