The Chop 2026

The Chop is becoming a much-loved tradition at St Patrick’s College Townsville, and the Class of 2026 are proud to continue this meaningful legacy of compassion and service.

On Friday 28 August, our Year 12 students will take part in The Chop, donating their hair through Sustainable Salons to support people experiencing hair loss due to conditions such as alopecia, cancer treatment and other medical circumstances. In true Mercy spirit, these young women are choosing to make a difference through an act of kindness that will bring hope, dignity and support to others.

As part of this commitment, students are asking for your support through donations to the Mater Foundation. Funds raised will support vital health initiatives, research and services that help individuals and families facing significant health challenges in Townsville.

We invite you to support our students by donating to the group or an individual participant. Every contribution, big or small, reflects the power of compassion and community and is greatly appreciated.
