Bundaberg event cancelled due to weather

Cancelled - Chicks in Pink Fun Run – Event Update

Unfortunately, due to the rainy weather forecast for Bundaberg, we have made the decision to cancel our planned Chicks in Pink International Women’s Day Fun Run.

We know many of you were looking forward to getting together for the 5km and celebrating the day as a team, and moving for a very good cause - so we’re truly sorry that the weather hasn’t cooperated this time.

That said, the spirit of the event doesn’t have to stop here. If the sun happens to come out later, and it’s safe to do so, we’d love for you to still take part in your own individual way. Whether it’s a walk, jog, or run, you can still get your pink gear on and complete your 5km today, wherever and whenever it suits you.

Head out solo, bring a friend, take the dog, or gather a your mates, however you choose to do it, you’re still part of the team.

International Women’s Day is about connection, strength, and supporting one another, and those things don’t disappear just because we can’t all be in the same place at the same time.

Thank you to everyone who registered, showed interest and enthusiasm for the event, sponsored us, and raised funds and awareness to help support women in their breast cancer journeys. Even though the weather has changed our plans, the team spirit behind it remains the same.

If you do complete your 5km, we’d love to see it, so share a photo and celebrate the moment.

We may not be able to run together this time, but we are still a team. 💗

We’re part of the International Women’s Day Fun Run, representing Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg!

We're raising funds to support women with breast cancer now and into the future. 

By making a donation, you can play a part in improving treatments and care for women diagnosed with breast cancer.  

When you donate, you’re helping to support counselling services and supply practical items like mastectomy bras and wigs after surgery and chemotherapy.  

You’ll also be supporting world leading research that focuses on improving survival rates and working towards a world where ALL women diagnosed with breast cancer survive. 

Ultimately, you’ll help make life easier for women with breast cancer today and save more lives tomorrow.
