Ormiston College The Chop 2026

The Chop has become a tradition at Ormiston College; one which the 2026 Year 12 girls are proud to carry on. 

Ms Thwaite has joined the challenge to help and make this a record breaking fund-raising year for our 2026 girls by pledging that for every $1000 raised she will chop off 1cm of hair. Given her hair is 64cm long, how much can we raise to chop in 2026?

For the gift of donating their ponytails, these young women are asking for your support in the form of a donation. Funds raised will be used to drive cancer research focusing on survival rates, working towards a future where ALL diagnosed with breast cancer will survive! Ponytails will be donated to create wigs to help those suffering hair loss to look good and feel better! Shorter lengths of hair will be used to create hair booms to rid our oceans of oil that threatens bird and marine life.
