Turning 40!
A little over three months ago, I turned 40. I can still remember my mum turning 40 — and suddenly, it was me.
As I reflected on my life, I realised I wasn’t quite sure who I am at 40. Not as a mum. Not as the dependable one. But me. What excites me? What challenges me?
So I’ve decided to step well and truly outside my comfort zone and I’ve signed up for the Noosa Triathlon.
I’ve done something every single day this year to train — yes, my Strava account proves it. Months of training are ahead, and I’m stepping well outside my comfort zone, with massive doubt hanging over myself and ability.
I’m proudly doing this with Mater Smiddy, raising much-needed funds for cancer research.
