Back for another year!

I'm excited to announce that I'm once again taking part in the Brisbane to Gold Coast Charity ride aiming to raise a tonne of money for cancer research! Last year we raised over $2,800, let’s see if we can raise even more this year!

My story

At 21 I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia - a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. In the months that followed, my life turned upside down. Many of the things I had taken for granted were taken away from me. One of those things was cycling, which i was no longer able to do when the nurses rightfully told me I best not continue to ride after passing out in the hospital room on the indoor trainer. Oops! 

7 rounds of chemotherapy, 1 relapse and a bone marrow transplant later I'm thankfully on the other side of it all and am grateful to be back to a in a position where I have been able to return to normal and can now help raise money for other people who are suffering from the effects of cancer. So they too can get back to life and doing what makes them happy each day like riding does for me and many others!

I’m taking part in the Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for Cancer challenge.

I'm raising funds to support people diagnosed with cancer now and into the future by funding cancer research that focuses on improving survival rates, working toward a world where ALL people affected by cancer survive.

I'll tackle the KMs, but I need your support to reach my fundraising goal.
