Why am I hitting you up for cash? After a six year hiatus (due to that pesky little emergency trip and that incident with the flattened day bags), the Mater Smiling for Smiddy team is bringing me back to road crew for next month's Challenge South Australia — a five-day ride through the Adelaide Hills.
Yes, clearly they are desperate. Not really. I am an amazing cheerleader and very good at giving out hugs to sweaty riders.
While I won't be jumping on a bike (unless things get VERY desperate or you pay a lot of money), I am still hoping to do my bit and raise valuable funds to support the work of Mater Research when it comes to causes, treatment and prevention of cancer.
And this is where I need your help, and your money. Please.
So if you can spare a couple of bucks, I'd really appreciate it. Falvey Hotels have already kicked in $900 to get me over the line for the first $1000, so I've upped my goal another $500 and would like to hit that too. Plus David Smiddy is currently beating me and I have Dad's competitive nature.
