I’m part of the International Women’s Day Fun Run!
On 8 March 2026 my work mates and I will be taking part in the International Women’s Day Fun Run to raise money for women with breast cancer and to honour my own breast cancer journey.
My journey began in November 2024. Since then, I’ve been poked, prodded, scanned, had surgery, completed 6 rounds of chemo and 3 weeks of radiation. It’s been a wild ride, but I’ve met so many incredible people who dedicate their lives to working in this field.
The last 6 months have been all about recovery — I’m feeling much stronger, I’ve ditched the wig, and now I'm rocking chemo curls.
The IWD Fun Run is going to be Queensland's biggest celebration of women. With our help, Mater Chicks in Pink are able to care for many women with breast cancer by providing them with practical support, and fund research into making treatments more effective, so fewer lives are lost.
Any support means the world to me and to other women walking this path. Donating is super easy, and every bit truly makes a difference.
