Thank you 🙏
This morning we completed our 5 km walk. It rained before the walk and again afterwards, but somehow the rain held off while we were walking—such perfect timing.
I was truly touched to see how many people came out to support the event. So many of you sponsored or donated, and many of you walked alongside me. Your support meant more to me than words can fully express.
Most importantly, your donation will truly make a difference. It will help save lives—without a doubt.
I will never forget your kindness and generosity. I truly mean it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am forever grateful.
Thank you and one more week to go
This Sunday, I will be walking 5km at the Mater Fun Run.
For many people, 5km may not seem like much. But for me, right now, it is not a small distance.
I am on hormone therapy to prevent a recurrence of breast cancer. It is the right treatment for my cancer type, but the side effects caused osteoporosis. I am now also undergoing treatment for my bones.
The bone treatment is painful … deeply, quietly painful. There were days I cried.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about walking 5km. But I am choosing to walk anyway.
Because treatment does not end when cancer treatment ends. And if my 5km can encourage even one person to get checked earlier or better understand the reality of treatment, then it is a distance worth walking.
I’m part of the International Women’s Day Fun Run!
I'm raising funds to support women with breast cancer now and into the future.
By making a donation, you can play a part in improving treatments and care for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
When you donate, you’re helping to support counselling services and supply practical items like mastectomy bras and wigs after surgery and chemotherapy.
You’ll also be supporting world leading research that focuses on improving survival rates and working towards a world where ALL women diagnosed with breast cancer survive.
Ultimately, you’ll help make life easier for women with breast cancer today and save more lives tomorrow.
As little as $65 can make a profound impact and take some of the stress off women with breast cancer and their families. Please, if you possibly can, will you donate today?
So far this year I have helped raise money for:

久しぶりにfacebookを立ち上げて、こちらのポストを見つけました。5キロ完歩おめでとうございます。私も2年前に乳がんになり、1年半の治療を終えて半年経ちました。もうすぐ検査があり、とても不安です。私はよしさんのように行動してファンドレイズ出来ませんが、少しだけですがお手伝いをさせてください。
