Every day,
someone is arriving.
Your gift meets them there.
On Mater Giving Day your gift is tripled so every dollar you donate will have triple the impact.
Mater Giving Day is a moment when supporters come together to help strengthen the care Mater provides all year round.
This includes regional and community-based services, helping more people receive treatment closer to home, where support is strongest.

Dashelle's story
Catherine’s House changed the course of my life and my family’s life”. Since opening in 2023, it has helped hundreds of families like Dashelle’s to receive life changing support and care.
Jan's story
Jan’s devastating cancer diagnosis came out of the blue. Her life expectancy – less than a year. Through a Mater clinical trial, she has been given more time – eight more years with her family and counting. This trial was made possible thanks to the generous support of our community. Your support helps fund life-saving research and gives more people hope when they need it most.
Ivy's story
At just three years old, Ivy needed surgery to fix a painful kidney condition.
Her family lives in Weipa, where accessing specialised care often means travelling far from home. When Ivy’s condition worsened, they faced the reality of leaving their community during an already difficult time. But this time, world-class care was closer than they ever expected.

Where do the funds go?
Funds raised through Mater Giving Day help support care that’s needed every day, across Mater services.
Your generosity helps:
- Provide critical and lifesaving medical equipment.
- Strengthen programs that allow more people to receive treatment closer to home.
- Support research, education and services that improve patient outcomes.
Importantly, this includes expanding access to care in regional communities, helping reduce the need for people to travel long distances for treatment and allowing them to stay connected to their homes, families and communities.
Because when someone needs care, where they live shouldn’t limit the support they receive.
