This November, I’m taking on the 2026 Noosa Triathlon as part of Team Smiddy for my best friend, Mickey ❤️
Usually, Micks would be right there beside me, running hand in hand into the water and getting through it together. Instead, she’s taking on a challenge far tougher than any triathlon, battling Hodgkin lymphoma 💪🏼
For those of you who know Micks, you’ll know she’s one of the most radiant, charismatic and caring people who lights up every room she walks into. Whilst this year hasn’t been easy on her, I’m beyond proud of the way she continues to face it head on, with so much strength, courage and humour whilst remaining the most loyal friend to so many and the one of a kind icon that she is.
So this one’s for you Micks. I’ll be channelling your resilience and determination and be thinking of you through every stroke 🏊♀️, pedal 🚴♀️ and step 🦶🏼whilst you keep kicking cancer.
In support of Micks and everyone else fighting this awful disease, I’m raising funds towards ground-breaking research at Mater into the causes, prevention and treatment of various types of cancer.
