What is Cycle for Cancer?
Cycle for Cancer is a virtual cycling event that challenges you to Cycle 100ks in 7 days or double your challenge and ride 200ks this September.
You can take part as a solo rider or as a team.
You can do you K's your way! On the open road, hitting the mountain bike trails, on your windtrainer or even at your local gym.
This year’s event is taking place from Monday 6 September - Sunday 12 September.
Anyone can sign up - it's all abilities, all ages and it's FREE to register. Get on your bike and raise funds to support people diagnosed with cancer in your community!
It's easy to get involved:

- Once you have completed your registration, personalise your fundraising page by adding an image and tell why are taking part!
- Share your page with your family, friends and colleagues
- Start training and logging your Ks!
How do I take part in Cycle for Cancer?

Do I receive a Cycle for Cancer T-Shirt?
If you were one of the first 1000 people to register. Yes you do! It will be posted to the address you provided when you registered.
When will I receive my Cycle for Cancer T-Shirt?
We will be sending the exclusive Cycle for Cancer T-Shirts out in batches from 2 August 2021.
If you registered before this day keep an eye on your mailbox from mid- August for your T-Shirt.
Are there any costs to register?
Cycle for Cancer is free! There are no registration costs, but we encourage everyone to fundraise and support those people in your community diagnosed with cancer.
Can I change whether I cycle 100kms or 200kms?
Of course you can! Just contact our team at email@example.com and we will be happy to assist.
What if my T-Shirt doesn’t fit? Can I swap it for another size?
Not sure what size T-Shirt to order? Check out the T-Shirt sizing guide.
Unfortunately we are unable to swap T-Shirts sizes. Please ensure you review the sizing chart prior to choosing your size.
Do I need to pick up my Cycle for Cancer T-Shirt?
No need to go anywhere - your Cycle for Cancer T-Shirt will be sent directly to the address details you completed during registration.
If you entered the incorrect address please contact our team here.
I think I put in the wrong address when I registered
If the address is incorrect, your T-Shirt should be returned to us by Australia Post. If we receive it by, we will look into the address issue and, if necessary, we will call you to confirm your correct details.
We will then re-send you your T-Shirt and you should receive it.
Do I have to complete my Km's during the 6-12 Septmeber?
Monday 6 September - Sunday 12 September is our official riding week and you can choose however you like to reach your kilometre goal - a daily ride, or one big, long ride - it's up to you! Ride any day that suits you!
And if you want to jump on the bike before then to do even more, feel free - remember it's your Ks your way!
How do I get my Cycle for Cancer socks?
When your individual fundraising hits $200 we will send you a pair of exclusive Cycle for Cancer socks!
So reach out to your friends today, let them know what you are doing and why and ask them to support you today.

How do I get my Cycle for Cancer blue cycling jersey?
When your individual fundraising reaches $500 we will send you the exclusive Cycle for Cancer blue jersey.

Where do I ride?
There’s no set event or location for Cycle for Cancer. You do the Ks your way!
That means you can ride anywhere, at any time, in any place–you can do it out on the open road, on the mountain bike trails, a windtrainer in your lounge or even at the gym. You can complete your challenge any way you choose.
How do I log my Ks?
- Sync your riding app-download Strava on your preferred device and then go to your fundraising page and sync with your app.
- Enter on your page–On your fundraising page click on the-My Fitness Activity-Add Activity and update and post your kilometres manually.
Remember the training kilometres you are now logging will be removed Sunday 5 September the day before Cycle for Cancer starts and we can all start the Challenge afresh.
Can I join the event regardless of what area I am in?
Yes! From anywhere across Queensland or even the world. You can take part from where ever you are and take on the 100k's or 200k's in your own community however you choose; On the bike, at the gym or from your lounge on the windtrainer.
Can someone who hasn’t registered join in with me?
We would encourage anyone wanting to take part in Cycle for Cancer to register and receive an exclusive Cycle for Cancer T-Shirt along with full participant journey and resources to complete their ride.
Everything is better when you have your support network behind you and what would be better than all getting out there and completing your challenge together to support those people diagnosed with cancer in your community.

Do I have to fundraise?
We strongly encourage you to fundraise and support people diagnosed with cancer in your community.
As there is no fee to sign up to this event this means we really do rely on amazing individuals like you to get involved and do what you can to support people in your community diagnosed with cancer.

Can I get a receipt for my donation?
Of course! Any donation over $2 is tax deductible. After making a donation you'll automatically receive a receipt via email.
I want to approach businesses for prizes or donations to help with my fundraising — how do I prove that I'm authorised to raise funds for Mater Smiling for Smiddy?
If you need an Authority to Fundraise letter to show local businesses, please email contact our team here and we will send one to you. This document is proof that you are an approved fundraiser.
