Staying safe during your Fun Run

Your safety is our key priority, so please check your local Government guidelines to ensure you’re safe to walk in your community.

It doesn't matter if you're walking 5 km or 25 km, it's always best to be prepared.

Be prepared—stay sun smart!

Wear sunscreen and adequate sun protection, such as a hat and sunglasses. Seek shade and stay hydrated throughout your run, jog or walk by bringing a reusable water bottle.

Check local weather conditions

Make sure you check your local weather warnings, pack a rain jacket or any gear you might need to stay in tiptop condition.

Bring adequate water

Adjust your water according to your individual needs, distance, and the weather. For 5 km, it's a good idea to bring at least 1L just in case.

Be aware of your surroundings

We know you'll want to check your phone and post some selfies, but please stay aware of your surroundings, stop and move off to the side of the path when doing so.
