How does it work?

On the event day, Sunday, 7 March) you will receive an SMS with a link to your fundraising dashboard

The Fundraising dashboard homepage will show your event day virtual experience - There are a series of five sections to the journey - 5 sections for 5km – each section has a corresponding activity or virtual experience. Once you complete all the sections and ‘Finish’ the last section you will join the celebration!

How do I get to the virtual experience?

Just head to your Fundraising Dashboard, on Sunday, 7 March you will need to be logged in - and the Virtual Event Day experience will automatically be on your page... you might need to scroll down a little!

You will also receive an SMS on the day with a link to the page.

How do I start my event day experience?

Just press start on the first section and off you go! You can do the sections in your own time but we recommend doinga section/activityper kilometerto make you’re the most of your walk or run.

How do I complete a section?

Just click the button on each section and take part in the activity; once you have completed the section it will highlight Fun Run pink to show it’s completed.

Do I have to do all thesections?

It’s Your Fun Run, Yourway so you can do as many of the sections as you like although you can’t press FINISH and enjoy the virtual celebration until you have completed all the sections.

What happens if I don’t press START?

If you don’t press start you can still complete other sections although you can’t press FINISH and enjoy the virtual celebration until you have completed all the sections (including the start).

Do I have to post to the TRIBUTE Wall?

It’s up to you if you want to share your tribute on the tribute wall. But it’s great way to honour those youreare walking or running for on Sunday. However you can still complete the sections if you don’t post of the tribute wall.

Your Fun Run Kit

Do I receive a t-shirt?

If you were one of the first 3000 people to register. Yes you do! It is part of your race kit and will be posted to the address you provided when you signed up.

What is in my Fun Run Kit?

Once you register, we will send you a Fun Run kit that includes a sea of pink t-shirt (if you were one of the first 3000 people to register), tribute card, fundraising poster and tips, specials from our amazing partners and a guide to help you plan your own fun run!

Can I change whether I walk or run?

It's totally up to you how you plan to take on your 5km challenge.

What if my t-shirt doesn’t fit? Can I swap it for another size?

Not sure what size t-shirt to order? Check out the t-shirt sizing guide.

Unfortunately we are unable to swap t-shirts sizes. So please ensure you review the sizing chart prior to choosing your size.

Do I need to pick up my Fun Run Kit?

No need to go anywhere - your Fun Run Kit will be sent directly to the address details you completed during registration.

If you entered the incorrect address please contact our team here.

I think I put in the wrong address when I registered?

If the address is incorrect, your fun run kit should be returned to us by Australia Post. If we receive it by, we will look into the address issue and, if necessary, we will call you to confirm your correct details.            

We will then re-send you your fun run kit and hopefully you will receive it, intime for the big day.


What is the length of the course?

The RACQ International Women's Day Fun Run is a 5km challenge. And our resources will be tailored to this distance.

However if you would like to take on a different distance it's up to you. It's your Fun Run, your way.

Whatever you choose to do; please listen to your body and go at your own pace.

Can I join a team from the Brisbane City event?

Yes you can! The RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run is one community. Your team can be made up of members from the Brisbane City event or the ‘Your Fun Run, your way’.

Creating a team:

  1. Follow the prompts during the registration process to ‘Create a Team’
  2. Choose ‘public’ team to ensure your team will be visible to other potential team members.
  3. Done! Your team can have members from the Brisbane City event or if they are also doing the ‘Your Fun Run, your way’ event with you!

Joining a team:

  1. Follow the prompts during the registration process to ‘Join a Team’
  2. Search for the team name.
  3. Join the team.
  4. Done! Your now part of the team whether team members are doing the Brisbane City event or if they are also doing the ‘Your Fun Run, your way’ event.

Can I transfer my registration from the Brisbane City event to the - Your Fun Run, Your Way -  virtual event?

Yes you can! Please drop us a line and let us know that you want to change your registration

Just bear in mind there are no refunds for any difference in registration fees.   

Can I get a refund if I’m unable to participate?

Please check the Terms and Conditions of entry, relating to refunds.

However, if you have a loved one, friend or work mate that can take your place, you’re more than welcome to pass your registration onto them. If you need to transfer your registration to another person please give us a call on 1800 440 155 and one of the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run team members will be able to help you with this.

Can men take part?

Yes! We love that our male family members and friends want to support the women in their life. Men are more than welcome to register and put on a pink t-shirt.

Can I join the event regardless of what area I am in?

Yes! From anywhere across Queensland or even the world. Your Fun Run, your way is just that – and you can take part from where ever you are and take on the 5km walk, jog or run in your local area.

Do I need to pay for my child to walk with me?

If your child wants to walk the 5km's with you it would be great to have them as a registered participant. We even have kids
t-shirts for them to wear!

Can someone who hasn’t registered join in with me?

We would enourage anyone wanting to take part in the RACQ International Women's Day Fun Run to register and be provided with their Fun Run Kit including their 'sea of pink' event T-shirt along with full participant journey and resources to complete their 5km walk, run or jog.

Everything is better when you have your support network behind you and what would be better than all getting out there and completing your 5km challenge together to support women with breast cancer.

Raising money for women with breast cancer today

How can I help women with breast cancer today?

Did you know, on any given day, 53 people* will have their worlds turned upside down when they hear the words 'You have breast cancer'?

These women are our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends—and they need your help.

By raising funds for Mater Chicks in Pink as part of your participation in the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run you can make an immediate impact for these women.

The funds you raise will go towards providing personalised, practical support services such as counselling, yoga and art therapy and mastectomy bras for women who have lost one or both breasts. These support services will make life easier for women affected by breast cancer right now, when they need your support the most.

Your fundraising efforts will also be helping to fund life-saving research at Mater to better understand and treat breast cancer in the future.

Ultimately, you’ll be helping to make life easier for women with breast cancer today and saving more lives tomorrow.

Can I get a receipt for my donation?

Of course! Any donation over $2 is tax deductible. After making a donation you'll automatically receive a receipt via email.

I want to approach businesses for prizes or donations to help with my fundraising — how do I prove that I'm authorised to raise funds for Mater Chicks in Pink?

If you need an Authority to Fundraise letter to show local businesses, please email contaact our team here and we will send one to you. This document is proof that you are an approved fundraiser.
