I’m a Mater Community Champion and I’m raising much needed funds for a cause close to my heart.
As students, we want to do something meaningful and different for the sick children staying at the Mater Hospital.
Every year during Christmas, we perform concerts — and some young patients from Mater are invited to watch. Seeing their smiles and the joy our music brings has truly inspired me. It’s a heartfelt reminder of the power of connection, creativity, and kindness.
This year, I want to take it further. We’re raising funds to support a student-led initiative where we visit the hospital and share our skills with these children — teaching them drawing, music, math, English, and more. Our goal is to help them stay engaged, inspired, and better prepared to return to school when they recover.
This is about more than learning — it’s about creating moments of joy, confidence, and hope.
