Why am I doing this crazy ride?
In March 2025, together with my wonderful friend Mindy Smith and 58 others, I’ll be joining Challenge Snowies to raise money for cancer research. Over 5 days, we will ride 490km and 10,715m elevation (!) through the beautiful Snowy Mountains.
Why am I taking on this crazy challenge?
Because I’d like to play a small part in making a real impact for cancer research at Mater. Funds raised are used to support research into the causes, prevention and treatment of cancers including melanoma, prostate, breast and ovarian cancer.
Doing a sport I love, for such an important cause, and with the Smiddy motto of ‘teamwork, spirit and mateship’, what is not to love about a challenge like this?
