I've pledged to raise at least $750

I’ve signed up to the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run!

I'm raising funds to support women with breast cancer now and into the future by funding breast cancer research that focuses on improving survival rates, working toward a world where ALL women diagnosed with breast cancer survive.

As little as $65 can make a profound impact and take some of the stress off women with breast cancer and their families. Will you help me?

Finished

Monday 8th Mar
Well folks Sunday 7 March 2021 has come and gone and i made it from start to end in one piece. An early start to a Sunday morning and everyone will know i am not a morning person, so being awake at 5.30am is a miracle for me. None the less the awesome support that the RSM team has received inspired me to ensure that come rain, hail, shine, or sleep deprivation, i would be at the start line on time. RSM had an awesome team turnout (well done team) and we all started together. As i previously foreshadowed, my run began with a walk and then i managed to shuffle/jog on and off for the 5klms (don't laugh!). My last run of any distance would be in my pre-40's. I am feeling the leg burn on Monday but it was well and truly worth it. Big shout out to all the helpers on the fun run route giving encouragement to all the runners and walkers. It actually helped me a lot to maintain some pace so big thanks. Big shout also to all the supporting words and donations. Enjoy the photos and look forward to do it all again in the not too distant future. Cheers Mitch

Pink looks good

Monday 1st Mar
I have to admit i don't have any pink clothing, but i think the design and fit and feel of the fun run t-shirt is great. its going to be awesome seeing a sea of Pink on the day

Getting there

Monday 1st Mar
Well the month has just blown by and its on this weekend. Well i am happy to report that i have been using my stand up desk daily to get the legs working again and hopefully not blow a hamstring at the start line. Stretching will be the key for that i think. I passed the gym a few times but found always a poor excuse not to go so i better sort myself out this week and do it. Have been eating and drinking less and been getting back into waterskiing again as well which has been fun. Don't think the kgs have fallen off just yet but with 5 days to go, anything can happen. Thank you to all the support so far to myself and the RSM team. Thanks also to Mater for the shirt and shoe laces. Couple of happy snaps attached for your amusement. Cheers Mitch

Better get started

Wednesday 3rd Feb
So in prep for this fun run, or in all likelihood, a fun walk, i better get active so i can make the distance by:

Step 1 - use standup desk MORE
Step 2 - actually go to the gym that i pay for at least once a week
Step 3 - make some attempt to have a better food and bev intake
Step 4 - Shred the kilos ;-)
