Adelaide was born at 35 weeks and spent her first 12 days in Special Care. The doctors, nurses and specialists took such amazing care of Adelaide. We were incredibly lucky; every year, more than 2,000 very ill and premature babies receive round the clock specialist care at the Mater. We shared space with babies born as young as 28 weeks and watched their families be supported by life saving technology and incredible professionals.
