Mater’s Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for Cancer is an iconic Queensland event, which sees thousands of cyclists challenge themselves to conquer 100km in a day—from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
A central start line in South Brisbane directs you immediately onto a traffic-free South East Busway that will see you floating on the pedals as you leave Brisbane’s CBD behind you.
Refuel at two rest stops along the way, before cruising through to the finish line while enjoying incredible Gold Coast views.

Take on the ride that matters.
A milestone ride in every sense of it. Whether you’re a newly-minted cycling enthusiast looking to complete your first 100km ride, or you’re a cycling veteran, looking to add another notch to your belt, B2GC is the ride to do it! Regardless of your level of experience, you’ll be in for an unforgettable day in the saddle.
You’ll start your ride in South Brisbane, turning immediately into the South East Busway off Melbourne Street for a 17km traffic-free VIP ride out of Brisbane.
After exiting the Busway, the course follows a combination of service and suburban roads, backed by expert traffic management and supported by the Queensland Police Service. Choose to refuel at two rest stops en route, or power on to Fisherman’s Lawn where the finish line and the buzzing Finishers’ Village awaits!
The course is mostly flat, with less than 450m of climbing over the 100km. It is suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness.

“Just do it.
Don’t stop to think. If you’re thinking about it, then you should be there—it’s just a no brainer.
The ride is long, and there will be a few bumps along the way. But when you start to think about what other people have gone through with cancer and their treatment journey, it’s not that difficult.”
