Your Impact

2025 Update:

Thank you for helping give Mater’s tiniest patients the best start to life.

In 2025, our incredible supporters raised more than $575,000 for the Mater Little Miracles Research Centre, launched in honour of Sister Angela Mary’s 100th birthday. That generosity is already changing lives – from appointing Professor Ju-Lee Oei as Australia’s first Chair of Neonatology to introducing new models of care that are saving babies born as early as 22 weeks.

The 2026 Olivia's Race Day will support a groundbreaking initiative giving babies born as early as 22 weeks a fighting chance at life. Mater Mother's Hospital has a goal to establish a Tiny Baby Unit, set to deliver an Australian first in lifesaving care for extremely premature babies. We’re committing to significantly contribute to the model of care required to lift survival rates for Mater's tiniest patients. Included in this is the purchase of three (3) x Jet Ventilators and the essential, highly specialised training required to ensure Mater's neonatology team can keep tiny lungs breathing.
