This is for my father, my best friend, and all those who have had to endure the heartache of cancer ❤️


On Sunday 16 July 2023, I climbed 10,000 stairs and Hayden climbed 600 stairs at The Gabba Stomp.  We are so very proud of what we have achieved 👊🏻


We have trained hard and fundraised even harder to get here.  There has been sweat, tears, injuries, begging, and much more…


Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 12 months.  You are very much in our hearts ❤️

On Saturday 29/04 family and friends came together to celebrate Dad's 20-year anniversary.  We had a wonderful time!

Q1

On Sunday 19 March I raised the bar and climbed Q1 THREE (3)  times.  Yes, you heard me right, THREE TIMES!!!!.  
77 floors
1331 stairs straight up
I will say, it was not easy, but I am super stoked to have completed it.

Raffle

We are so grateful to our family and friends who donated during the month of February to my raffle initiative. Together we raised $3,160 for Mater Foundation. AMAZING!!!!

Wow! So far, a total of $1,378.50 has been donated via recyclables. We still have a long way to go to reach $10,000 though!

Annual Body Shop at Home Fundraiser

A big shout out to everyone who supported my annual Body Shop at Home fundraiser.  Over $400 worth of product was purchased to be used in my raffle (early 2023).  Further, I have donated my commission of $328.  A special thank you goes to Corinne who year after year supports this fundraiser and shows us all some beautiful products.  Much love to you all xx

Containers for Change

Over the past few weeks I have been somewhat of a "bag lady" on the train.  My work colleagues at HQ have been super generous and have been donating all their recyclables.  Further, due to two work events being held at the Park Regis, the hotel has been generous enough to collect the bottles for me and allow me to take them home.  Thank you to everyone who has supported me by donating their recyclables this past few weeks.  Love Liz xx

Meeting Amy Sheppard

Wow!  This would have to be the biggest highlight of my fundraising journey to date.  I am a huge fan of Amy Sheppard and on Friday night (16/09) I got to meet her at her solo career launch held at Lefty's.  What a fantastic performer and a beautiful human!    

Amy, thank you so much for donating a vinyl and signed photo card to my raffle.  

Containers for Change

Since the last stomp on 1 May, 4,390 recyclables have been collected, sorted and dropped off to Containers for Change.  Today, $439 was donated to Mater Foundation due to the kindness of my family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and the staff at the Redcliffe Police Station.  Thank you so much xx

June Challenge – 58,000 stairs

I DID IT! 58,000 (58,214 to be exact) stairs completed for my June challenge.
This is the equivalent to 28 laps (up and down) of Brisbane Skyscraper One One One Eagle Street ☺

Michael Rosenthal - 20 year anniversary

I’m a Mater community champion and I’m raising much need funds for a cause close to my heart.

For the past five years I have been climbing my way up thousands of stairs to raise funds for cancer research in honour of my late father.  I lost my father in 2003 at the young age of 48 after a long battle with bowel cancer.  I am passionate about raising funds for cancer research, so that others may not have to experience what my family, and others have experienced in their lifetime.  

On Sunday 1 May 2022 I climbed 10,000 and raised $7,798.09 for Mater Foundation.  My goal is to AGAIN climb 10,000 stairs and RAISE $10,000 for Mater Foundation at The Gabba Stadium Stomp 2023.
