Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

By Bronwyn Jennings

Every day in Australia, 3 women will be diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, which is the leading cause of death in women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers. Due to it's vague signs and symptoms, Ovarian Cancer is often diagnosed at advanced stages, meaning the 5 year survival rate sits around 50%.

Research for Ovarian Cancer aims to investigate new treatments for ovarian cancer, as well as ways of diagnosing Ovarian Cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage.

Funds raised from this Fundraising page will be donated to Mater Research and the "Mater Ovarian Cancer Research Collaborative" or MOCROC.

Fundraising Events for the month Include:

Cupcake Fundraiser with Zucherino Cakes
Market Stall with baked items, homewards and jewellery Friday 16th February
Cyclebar Gives cycle class at Cyclebar Carindale Saturday 17th February
