I’m taking part in Mater’s Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for cancer.

Most weekends you'll find me on the water with a paddle in hand on my OC—not on a bike! But this year I've decided to swap the paddle for pedals and take on the Mater Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle... all 100 km of it! 🚴‍♀️

If you know me, you'll know this is well outside my comfort zone. I'd much rather be chasing runners than kilometres on a bike! But sometimes the reasons behind the challenge are bigger than the challenge itself.

I'm riding in loving memory of my Daddy, and for every family whose lives have been changed by cancer. Every kilometre is for him, and every pedal stroke is driven by the hope that the incredible research at Mater will continue to save lives and give more families the gift of time.

There will probably be moments when I'm wishing I was back on my OC, paddle in hand (especially if there's a hill or a headwind!), but giving up isn't an option when the cause means this much.

I'll do the hard work—and I promise to pedal every one of those 100 km—but I'd love your support to help me reach my fundraising goal.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund life-saving cancer research and bring us one step closer to better outcomes for people affected by cancer.
