I’m doing the 100km Brisbane to Gold Coast Ride for Benji! #MakeBenjiProud #DoItForBenji
On the 24th August 2024, my whole world changed when our beautiful son Benji was born. He was perfect.
However a couple of hours after he was born, he started to turn blue. Doctors found out that this was due to a lack of oxygen in his blood. Benji had to remain at the Mater NCCU (Neonatal Critical Care Unit) on a number of different machines to help him breathe.
We thought he was getting better because he was growing and putting on weight but his lungs weren't getting better. He was getting more sick every day.
Devastatingly, Benji passed away on the 23rd September 2024, just a day before he turned one month old.
I promised him that I would dedicate this ride to him.
I hope I can make you proud Benji. I love you forever my son.
So far this year I have helped raise money for:
