I’m Andrew—a long-term Mater patient—and I’ll be riding the 100km B2GC on Sunday 27 August.
You wouldn’t guess it if you saw me out training, but on March 2017, I learnt what having stage four kidney cancer meant. It was in both my lungs… you can live without a kidney, but you can’t live without your lungs.
At 36 years old, I was terminal.
But yet here I am, six years on.
