Why I'm Riding

As some of you may know the last few years have had their fair share of ups and downs.

Being diagnosed with leukaemia at 21 isn't something I ever expected. I will never forget the phone call from my GP telling me to go straight to the hospital because I have cancer. Sadly, I'm not alone in this and so many others receive the same heartbreaking news that I did.Ā 

18 months later I have received a bone marrow transplant and am on the other side of it all. I'm back on the bike and loving every minute of it (mostly). I'm grateful to be in a position where I can return to some normality and do the things that were so unachievable for myself during treatment.Ā 

This ride falls exactly two years after I found out that I had cancer. I'm looking to raise money to help others who find themselves in the gut wrenching position I was in.Ā 

Iā€™m taking part in the Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for Cancer challenge.

I'm raising funds to support people diagnosed with cancer now and into the future by funding cancer research that focuses on improving survival rates, working toward a world where ALL people affected by cancer survive.

I'll tackle the KMs, but I need your support to reach my fundraising goal.
